When a Home Computer Repair becomes an Out-Of-Home Repair

Sometimes your home computer repair needs become more serious than we both initially imaged. If we can tell that the problem will take a bit longer to resolve (e.g. maybe requiring a scan or diagnostic which is best left running overnight).  You don’t want to be paying us to watch scans run, so we may recommend that we take your computer back to our workshop.  This also gives you additional benefits like the usage of our internet connection (not your monthly allowance) for any software update downloads.  Rest assured that we will work to your budget and will keep you informed every step of the way.  Your computer will then be returned to your home, and critical functions like your internet connection, emails and printing will be tested before we leave.

You’ll even receive a follow-up call within a few days to confirm that your computer didn’t start playing up again the moment we walked out of the door!

  What is not included in this service:-

  • A guarantee to increase the speed of your computer. Please be aware that although in 90% of cases optimising your computer can lead to a speed increase, this is not always the case.
  • Back-ups of your data - We do not back-up your data as standard, so please ensure you have saved all important files to CD or DVD before we start work on your PC. We offer a back-up service for an extra cost should you require it. We cannot be held responsible for files lost or deleted during work on your computer though we will endeavour wherever possible to leave customer's files unchanged. Occasionally it may be necessary to delete or over-write files during the process. Booking our service is acknowledgement of these risks.

Our NO FIX - NO FEE Guarantee

We operate a No Fix - No Fee policy. This works very simply, our engineer will fix or diagnose the fault on your computer or you pay nothing.
On rare occasions we can only offer a diagnosis for the fault as the fix is just not economically viable for the PC. If we can establish what the problem is but you decide not to go ahead with the repair/fix you will still be charged for our time.

 

If additional hardware or software is required, we are also not responsible or liable for this cost. Please note that we do not sell hardware or software but will make recommendations on your request on where to find the best product at the best price. You will be under no obligation to purchase these recommended products.

Fixed Cost Repairs

INi-Solutions can repair your computer in your own home.  We carry a stock of spare parts allowing us fix almost any type of computer problem on-site.  We charged a fixed cost which covers the call out the diagnosis and repair of the problem.  If you need a part replaced we will tell you first, explain why you need the part and give you a cost.

Wireless Network Set-up

Do you want to work away from your desktop or wander around the house with your laptop/notebook, tablet, andyou don’t know how to set up a wireless network in your home?

INI-Solutions visit your home and install your wireless router, configure the settings with username and password,(completely private, we show you how and let you enter the password of your choice) SSID and encryption.  We then test the network with you, until you are satisfied that you know how to do everything.  Plus, we will also give you advice on what to do if you ever lose your connection.

PC Health Check

Your computer needs regular maintenance – a health check by INI-Solutions can increase the performance of your PC/laptop/Tablet/Notebook.

Cleaning the build-up of old files, removing unwanted software, installing new Windows updates, eradicating viruses and spyware, a complete clean of hardware.

Whatever your requirements, small or large, you can be sure that INI-Solutions will always deal with your requests quickly and professionally, at a time that suits you

For general computer repairs, we charge a flat fee of £50 + parts. For all other services, see below. 

For minor problems that can be solved within 30 minutes and where no parts are needed, we will charge a lower fee of £35

 

* Price is for labour only, parts &/or software at extra cost.

** It is the customer’s responsibility to make sure they have the correct restore discs. If the customer no longer has the discs, then either a new set will have to be ordered from the manufacturer (At extra cost) or a new operating system will have to be installed at extra cost.

*** The computer health checks have to be done in our computer workshop due to the length of time the job can sometimes take. We will come along and disconnect your computer, take it back to the workshop for a comprehensive service and then return it back to you. This normally takes less than 24hrs, although this is not always the case as every machine differs from the next. Customers will always be notified should this be the case.

Please note that the fixed-cost services listed do not apply to some computers (e.g. some all-in-one PCs, iMacs and some laptops). This is due to the complexity of their design and the resulting time involved in servicing them. We will always notify customers in advance of the prices in such a case.
